The love of God~

Have you ever just sat and thought about the love of God? I have many times. I just can't fathom it! God's love is so pure and wonderful, that we just can't even imagine it! The Bible says: "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?" Romans 8:25 Wow! We will never be separated from the love of Jesus Christ if we have asked him to be our Savior! Even if we wander from him, or we are in great distress, or even if we have no clothes to wear, he will always love us! He chastens us, and shows us places we need to work on in our lives, but he will always love us! "And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us." Romans 5:5 "And the Lord thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live." Deuteronomy 30:6 God also wants us to love Him! "He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him." John 14:21 If I told my dad I love him, but I don't talk to him much unless I need something, don't ask him how he is today, or pay much attention to what he says, would I be showing that I love him? What if we did that with God? What if we except him as our Savior, and then don't spend time with him or talk to him unless we need something? Is that showing the Lord that we love Him? I love my Dad. I need to talk to him and show him I love Him by doing nice things, obeying, spending time with him and getting to know him. That way I will become closer to my Dad, who loves me and cares for me. Its the same with the Lord, I should listen to what he says in His Word and do it, spend time with Him, and learn more of Him. I will become closer to Him! That is showing Him, and others that I love God. God says that If we love Him, to keep His commandments. God also says that when we keep his Word and obey it, His love is perfected in us!! "But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him." 1 John 2:5 Wow! I can't imagine having His love perfected in me! That is why I ask Him to help me keep His commandments, and obey His word. God's love is perfect, and I can be perfected through Him because His word says! "He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he." Deuteronomy 32:4 "Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God." Deuteronomy 18:13 "But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you." 1 Peter 5:10 Remember, we can't just pray a prayer, "Lord, make me perfect, Pleeeeease!" and then we get up, and we are perfect now. But, Like 1 Peter 5:10 says, "after that ye have suffered a while make you perfect...." We need to spend much time in prayer and read His word, and obey it. Then He will start working on us, and we may suffer, and go through trials, but He will teach us alot. Through this He is perfecting us, and His love is being perfected in us. We will never be completely perfect until we reach His home in Heaven. What a day that will be! Wow! It gives me goosebumps thinking about it! I will be perfect, I will know him! Just Keep praying!
