I'm thankful for.....the money the Lord provides for my family so that we have food and clothes and a warm home.
I'm thankful for..... ink pens. My Grandmother went to Williamsburg, Virginia this past week, and brought me home a quill and ink set. What a proccess to write a letter with that quill! I have been having fun with it, but it makes me thankful for our modern pens!
I'm thankful for..... chocolate! My Grandmother also brought home with her a chocolate bar from Williamsburg. On the back of the wrapper it says that chocolate was a big treat, and children didn't get it. Chocolate would be melted and made into hot chocolate for the adults!
I'm thankful for..... my siblings. They are great!
I'm thankful for.....hot water. It is so great that I can turn on my faucet and hot water comes running out! I don't have to heat water for dishes or a shower, all I have to do is turn it on!
I'm thankful for..... hymns. I am so thankful that God used people, simple people to write some of our greatest hymns! They are so wonderful and comforting. They are even more wonderful when you read about the people and stories behind the hymns.
I'm thankful for..... God's mercy and grace. I am nothing, but he cares about little me, he cared so much that He died for me to take the punishment of my sins. He loves me so much, He is making me a home of my own in Heaven, and I will go live with Him someday. Forever.
I'm thankful for..... my Bible. I am so thankful that I am able to have God's word in my hands, in my language, and that I am able to read it in freedom.
What are you thankful for?
