Getting Rid of the Weeds-TODAY: pulling the weed of confusion
Many times in life we get confused. We don't know what to do next, we are mixed up, and the problems of life are just jumbled around inside our heads. If we realize that we are confused and just don't know where or what to do, we need to trust in God's promises. He will soon show us what we need to do. Maybe He won't have us do anything right now, maybe He wants us to rest and wait for Him, and renew our strength.
"In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion." Psalm 71:1
You see, David had to deal with alot of confusion in His life, and He knew when He was confused He needed to do alot of praying, waiting and resting in the Lord! Those things can be hard to do, but it is through the waiting rest time that we learn HOW to! Its okay to be confused, as long as we give that confusion to the Lord, and let Him help us, and not let the devil use that confusion to hurt us! Remember, God is not the author of confusion, though He may allow us to be confused so that we can learn.
"My confusion is continually before me, and the shame of my face hath covered." Psalm 44:15
Do you feel like David did in that verse? I sometimes do! But God does not want us to stay confused, and ashamed! He wants us to believe that we are forgiven, and that He will take care of our confusion, whatever the type of confusion it may be.
"Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt." Psalm 70:2
Amen to that verse! ;) Like I wrote before, God is not the author of confusion,(1 Corinthians 14:33) and we need to be aware when the devil is trying to confuse us, and realize that we need to let God take care of it! The devil is seeking after our soul, and we need to watch for that and be ready to fight!
This needs to be our prayer; "Examine me , O Lord, and prove me; try the reins of my heart." Psalm 26:2
