SIP Bible Study~ Blessings ~

Hope this Bible study about blessings is a blessing to you! :) This one is smaller, but I like smaller Bible studies, it gives me a little bit at a time that I can think about. ~Blessing means: "A wish of happiness pronounced; a prayer imploring happiness on another. Any means of happiness; a gift, benefit or advantage........" Websters 1828 Dictionary Read Ephesians 1: 1-13 Read verse 3 again. Fill in the blanks: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath ______________ us with all ____________________________ in heavenly places in__________." Read verse 4. What is a blessing in this verse? __________________________________ ___________________________________ __________________________________ Think: "Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb." Genesis 49:25 What does this verse mean to you? In what way did it bless you? _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ ___________________________________________ The way God will bless us is if we are seeking HIM, and HIS will, and doing our best with His help to trust Him, and please Him with our lives. He wants to bless us! Read Verse 6 A blessing in this verse is that He has made us accepted in the beloved! Read verses 10-11 What are some blessings in those verses? ____________________________________ _____________________________________ _____________________________________ Read verse 13 We are sealed by the Holy Spirit! Read verse 14 These verses talk alot about us who are saved, as being redeemed! What a blessing this is to know that we are redeemed!! "My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed." Psalm 71: 23 "But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine." Isaiah 43:1 "I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee." Isaiah 44:22 Some other blessings: His grace,(Ephesians 4:7), his promises,(2 Corinthians 1:20),his power,(Psalm 66:3), his love, (Ephesians 3: 19, Romans 5:8) We need to thank the Lord for all these wonderful spiritual blessings!! We also need to thank Him for temporal blessings.
